Thick Kundal (Outer ring) and the best skins fitted, which provides 'clear tone'. The same good quality skins used on our Studio Dholaks. Please take a measurement of outer edge of the wood (take the old drum head off), Take a few measurements of the diameter and use the largest measurement. You will never get the correct measurement with the old drum head on, so its best to remove it and then take your measurements. Here's a quick example here, How to Measure.
Don't forget the dholak masala (drum paste)! for the bass skin.

Thick Outer Ring
Very good quality head, with a thick skin and outer ring that provides a nice tone. Very difficult to find this type of head in the US and only took about 6 business days to ship to Florida!

Dholak Heads, Studio Quality
The studio dholak heads sold separately are not as good in quality as the heads that come on the actual studio dholaks.
