Great bass head, good craftsmanship. The syahi it's smaller than it looks in the picture but it's properly layered to achieve a nice bass tone. I have actually used it on a large bayan and since I like to play close to the syahi it's been a great addition to play with low pitched tablas. This also means modulation and sustain are good. Still waiting for the leather to break in a bit more. So far 4.5 rating.
