Be certain to measure the diameter of the wooden barrel (for best results, remove the old head) and not the diameter of the entire tabla head.

Easy to tune, great sound.
I ordered a 5 1/2 inch dayan head, it was easy to put on and tune, and it sounded great, making the repair very easy. I have now ordered several of these Mukta Das dayan heads and they all sound great, within days of repair, the drums were ready for performance. Thanks again Mickey and Kala Kendar.
