    Quality set and value

Posted by Clyde on 16th Apr 2020

The drums arrived in a timely fashion and well packed. The set is clearly well made and of high quality. The daya was tuned very, very low. I think most players expect to have to pull the straps on a new instrument, but just a warning to those new to tabla. Once tuned up the daya sounds very nice, although it has a very slight buzz. I do not mind the slight buzz, but some do not like this sound. The baya is very heavy. Definitely the heaviest I have seen as well as my guru. The baya has an edge to the sound, with a bit of growl to the ge sound. It also has a lot of sustain. It sounds quite different from my other baya, but I like it. If you are looking for a smooth baya tone, this may not be the baya for you. If you're looking for a lot of sustain from your baya this might be the right one for you.
